TSX Climbs as Oil Prices Plummet
The TSX index rose by 0.45% while the S&P 500 and DOW increased by 0.13% and 0.19%, respectively. The NASDAQ fell by 0.05%. Oil prices dropped by 2.16%. The Canadian dollar weakened against the US dollar, trading at CAD 1 = USD 0.70928. In contrast, the Chinese Yuan/British Pound exchange rate rose by 7.29%.
The TSX movers included WCP-T, which gained 0.24%, and BTE-T, up 0.48%. On the other hand, CNQ-T increased by 0.33%.
