TSX Closes Higher Despite Ongoing Trade Tensions
The S&P/TSX composite index rose by 20.60 points on Thursday to close at 36,834.25, despite ongoing trade tensions between Canada and the U.S.
Konstantin Boehmer, head of fixed income and portfolio manager at Mackenzie Investments, said investors are counting on a resolution to come through soon.
The Canadian dollar has barely moved, trading for 72.14 cents US compared to 72.07 cents US the previous day.
