The TSX Composite Index has had an impressive year so far, rising by 14.35% and reaching a record high amid a rally in various industries.

One of the index's top performers is BlackBerry stock, which has jumped by 138% this year after the company shifted its focus to artificial intelligence services such as software and communications.

Other companies contributing to the index's growth include Bird Construction, which has soared by 134%, and gold and silver industry stocks like Aya Gold & Silver, Russel Metals, Montage Gold, Altius Minerals, and Abra Silver Resource.

This week will be critical for the TSX Composite Index as top companies such as Barrick Gold, Franco-Nevada, and Constellation Software release their earnings on Tuesday. Additionally, major banks like Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal (BMO), Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), and TD Bank will report their results later this month.

The index has been reacting to recent economic data, including the strong labor market and high inflation. Analysts predict that the BoC will maintain interest rates steady for now.
