TSX Futures Flat Amid Iran Tensions
Futures tracking Canada's blue-chip stocks on Monday were relatively flat ahead of domestic inflation data, while investors weighed the stalemate in Iran. The TSX lost 29.02 points to conclude Friday at 36,730.27.
On a more positive note, the index gained 349 points, or 0.96%, for the week. September futures were flat on Monday, and the Canadian dollar inched up 0.03 cents to 72.11 cents U.S.
The day also brought news of Abaxx Technologies' widened net loss in the second quarter. Meanwhile, OceanaGold plans to acquire Australia's Ausgold in a deal valued at A$776 million ($552.74 million U.S.).
