TSX Soars Amid Real Estate and Financial Gains

Canada's main stock index, the TSX, rose by 216.87 points on Friday to reach 35,409.53, boosted by gains in real estate and financial shares.

The TSX Venture Exchange also gained 0.44 points to 874.53, with all but one of its subgroups showing positive results.

Financial shares such as Onex Corp and Power Corporation of Canada led the pack, rising 2.9% and 2.5% respectively.

The Canadian dollar also strengthened, gaining 0.17 cents to 71.01 U.S. dollars.
