Turkey's BIST 100 Index Declines by 0.88% on Opening Day

Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened on Monday at 14,339.28 points, a decline of 0.88% or 127.97 points from its previous close.

The index rose by 0.51% to 14,467.25 points on Friday, with a daily transaction volume of 222 billion liras ($4.58 billion).

At the time of writing, exchange rates stood at 48.6220 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 56.2150 to the euro, and 65.6470 to the British pound.
