UK Economy Expands 0.4% in July Amid Upbeat Production Data
The UK's economy showed resilience in July, expanding by 0.4% month-over-month (MoM), surpassing market expectations of a flat reading.
This follows a 0.3% growth reported in June, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) data released on Friday.
Industrial Production also rose by 0.2% MoM in July, while Manufacturing Production increased by 0.9% during the same period.
The Pound Sterling responded positively to the upbeat economic news, with the GBP/USD pair gaining 0.03% to trade at 1.3515 as of press time.
