Ukraine Dollar Falls, Euro Surges on July 31 Exchange Rate Shifts

The Ukrainian hryvnia exchange rates saw significant changes on July 31. In cash-market trading, the U.S. dollar experienced a decline, while the euro rose in value. The average buy rate for dollars decreased by 6 kopecks, and the sell rate dropped by 5 kopecks. Conversely, the euro's purchase price increased by 12 kopecks, and its sales price jumped by 15 kopecks.

Currency exchange points also reflected this trend, with a 1-kopeck drop in dollar buy rates and a 10-kopeck decrease in sell rates for dollars. The euro, however, reached UAH 51.06 on the buy side and UAH 51.76 on the sell side at these outlets.

On the currency auction, hryvnia quotes against the dollar were quoted between UAH 44.48 and UAH 44.98, while euro bids ranged from UAH 51.40 to UAH 51.65. The interbank market opened with a dollar rate of UAH 44.68-44.71 and euro transactions at UAH 51.47-51.49 per euro.
