Ukraine's Hryvnia Sees Slight Strengthening Against Major Currencies

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has announced its official exchange rates for Thursday, August 27. The Ukrainian hryvnia has shown a slight strengthening against major world currencies.

The NBU sets the US dollar at 44.57 hryvnias, which is a decrease of 10 kopecks compared to the previous day's rate of 44.67 UAH. Similarly, the euro rate has also decreased to 52.00 hryvnias, down by 8 kopecks from 52.08 UAH as of August 26.

The draft state budget for 2026 projects an average annual exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar at 45.6 UAH per 1 US dollar. This macroeconomic benchmark allows businesses and citizens to forecast future dynamics in the foreign exchange market in Ukraine.
