Ukraine's Hryvnia Strengthens Against Major Currencies as Exchange Rates Decline
The National Bank of Ukraine has set new official exchange rates for the US dollar and euro on August 14. The hryvnia gained ground against both major currencies, with a slight decline in the value of these foreign currencies.
Compared to the previous day's rate, the US dollar fell by 2 kopecks, reaching UAH 44.69. The euro exchange rate also declined, dropping by 6 kopecks to UAH 51.55.
The Ukrainian government has projected an average annual exchange rate of UAH 45.6 per US dollar in its draft state budget for 2026.
