Ukraine's Hryvnia Weakens Against Dollar and Euro in Interbank Market
The Ukrainian hryvnia weakened against both major currencies in Ukraine's interbank market on August 10, 2023. The dollar rose by 13 kopecks for both buying and selling, reaching final quotes at 44.88-44.91 UAH per USD.
In the same session, the euro added 9 kopecks on the buy side and 8 kopecks on the sell side, closing at 51.82-51.84 UAH per EUR.
This upward drift suggests that demand for hard currency is shifting in the Ukrainian market. The higher rates may be a response to economic pressures on the country's balance of payments.
