Ukraine's National Bank Sets Official Hryvnia Exchange Rates Amid Currency Market Volatility
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official hryvnia exchange rates for Thursday, August 20. The US dollar weakened against the hryvnia, losing 7 kopecks in value and trading at UAH 44.70 per dollar.
However, the euro rose by 3 kopecks, reaching UAH 51.86 per euro. This mixed signal in currency markets may indicate volatility in the coming days.
The National Bank has been monitoring exchange rates closely, as seen in recent adjustments to the official hryvnia exchange rate. In the draft state budget for 2026, the government projected an average annual hryvnia exchange rate at UAH 45.6 per US dollar.
