A recent study by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has shed light on the economic impacts of unauthorized immigration in the US. Between 2021-2025, an estimated 14 million unauthorized immigrants entered the country, sparking controversy about the pros and cons of this movement.

The study collected data on employment, wages, housing prices, and other factors to analyze the effects of unauthorized immigration. According to the findings, total employment rose directly with the increase in unauthorized immigrants, meaning jobs were either created or filled by these individuals.

The report also found that wages did not decrease as a result of the influx of unauthorized immigrants. This is likely because they took new or vacant jobs, rather than competing with existing workers for positions.
