US and Japan Join Forces to Support Yen Amid Dollar Surge
The US and Japan have confirmed they intervened to support the Japanese yen against the dollar after it hit 40-year highs.
The move sent a strong signal that Washington is willing to stand alongside Tokyo in defending its currency.
The dollar dipped to around 155.20 yen, down from near 164 yen last week, as US President Donald Trump and Japanese officials confirmed their intervention.
