The US government has disrupted a Chinese hacking operation that targeted sensitive networks of several government agencies. The Justice Department seized domains used by two hacking platforms, QScan and QTRouter, which were allegedly used in the campaign.

According to an affidavit, the hackers compromised Energy, HHS, NIH, and four US and South Korean companies' systems since at least 2018. The operation aimed to breach sensitive networks of government agencies, including NASA, the Federal Reserve, and the Senate.

The Justice Department statement revealed that the hacking platforms were used as part of a broader campaign targeting US and global networks. The affidavit highlighted the severity of the breaches, stating that hackers targeted sensitive information since at least 2018.
