US Disrupts Chinese Hacking Operation Targeting Government Agencies
The US Department of Justice has announced that it has disrupted a major Chinese hacking operation. The hackers, identified as using two platforms called QScan and QTRouter, had been responsible for break-ins and attempts on sensitive government agencies.
The affected agencies include the Justice Department, NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate, and several other government organizations.
According to an affidavit, the hackers also targeted private companies in the US and South Korea. The identity of these companies has not been disclosed.
