US Dollar Edges Lower Against Iraqi Dinar on Monday
The US dollar experienced a slight decline against the Iraqi dinar on Monday in both Baghdad and Erbil. According to a market survey by Shafaq News, the dollar traded at around 150,000 dinars per $100 in Baghdad's central exchanges, with prices at Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya dropping from 150,050 IQD earlier in the day.
Exchange shops in the capital maintained their rates unchanged, offering the dollar at 150,500 IQD per $100 for sale, while buying at 149,500 IQD. In Erbil, the dollar sold for 150,100 IQD per $100 and was bought at 150,000 IQD per $100.
The market survey did not provide information on any specific reasons behind the decline in the exchange rates. It is worth noting that fluctuations in currency exchange rates are common and can be influenced by various factors such as economic conditions, global events, and government policies.
