US Dollar Falls 0.02% Amid Global Currency Shifts

The U.S. dollar experienced a slight decline in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell by 0.02 percent to 99.894 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).

This decline was reflected in various currencies, including the euro and British pound. The euro dropped to $1.1514 from $1.1531 in the previous session, while the British pound lost value to $1.3431 from $1.3482.

The U.S. dollar's performance against other major currencies was also affected by the decline. It bought 156.74 Japanese yen, lower than the 158.9 yen it fetched in the previous session. In contrast, the U.S. dollar rose to 0.8101 Swiss francs from 0.8082 and added to 1.4045 Canadian dollars from 1.4019.

The decline of the U.S. dollar has been attributed to various factors, including its performance against other major currencies.
