US Dollar Falls 0.79% for the Week as Precious Metals Surge

US dollar index fell by 0.02% to 98.85 as of overnight close, down 0.79% for the week.

The decline in the US dollar led to a surge in precious metals, with COMEX gold rising 1.97% and COMEX silver increasing 1.33%. On a weekly basis, COMEX gold rose 5.05% for its fifth consecutive weekly gain, while COMEX silver increased by 5.99% for its third consecutive weekly gain.

SHFE gold also broke through the 1,000 yuan/g mark, rising 2.36%, and SHFE silver increased 2.15%. On a weekly basis, SHFE gold rose 4.4% and SHFE silver rose 6.47%.
