US Dollar Index Loses Ground After Weaker-Than-Expected Producer Prices
The US dollar index continues its attempt to settle above the resistance level at 99.85-100.00, but it's losing some ground after the latest Producer Prices report.
The PPI was unchanged on a month-over-month basis in July, compared to an analyst forecast of +0.2%. Core PPI increased by +0.2%, compared to an analyst forecast of +0.3%.
The US dollar index is currently trying to settle above the 100.00 level and could head towards the next resistance level at 100.50-100.65 if it succeeds.
