US Dollar Index Sees Surge in Net Long Positions
Large currency speculators in the US dollar futures market have added further net longs to a three-and-a-half-year high, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled 22499 net long positions in the data reported through August 04, 2026. This marks a significant increase of 5302 net positions compared to the previous week.
