US Dollar Weakens Against Major Currencies
The US dollar weakened in late trading on Tuesday, according to market data.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell 0.13 percent to 98.787 at 15:00 (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro strengthened to 1.1629 dollars from 1.1624 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound rose to 1.3547 dollars from 1.3542 dollars in the previous session.
The US dollar also declined against several other currencies, including the Japanese yen, Swiss francs, Canadian dollars, and Swedish kronor.
