US Economy Sees Moderate Growth Amid Rising Concerns
The Federal Reserve's latest Beige Book report has offered insights into the current state of the US economy. According to the report, economic activity has shown moderate growth since early July in most regions.
While consumer spending saw limited growth, it was noted that consumers have become increasingly sensitive to prices, particularly when it comes to energy and transportation costs.
The manufacturing sector showed a recovery in most areas, with some Fed regions reporting strong demand for defense and data center-related orders. However, labor market growth has slowed down, with only a limited increase in total employment.
Despite this, businesses generally maintain positive expectations regarding the economic outlook, although they are concerned about energy prices, policy uncertainties, and international conflicts.
