US Futures Hold Steady as Investors Await Key Inflation Data
US stock futures remained steady on Thursday as investors awaited key inflation data that could influence the Federal Reserve's next policy decision.
The August producer price index is due out today, followed by the consumer inflation report on Friday.
In other economic releases scheduled for today are weekly jobless claims and existing home sales.
Several major companies will also be reporting earnings, including Oracle, Adobe, Copart, Macy's, and Restoration Hardware.
The Dow fell 0.77% in regular trading on Wednesday, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite declined 0.48% and 0.64%, respectively.
The losses were attributed to rising oil prices amid tensions between the US and Iran, which increased concerns over inflation and strengthened expectations for near-term rate hikes.
