US Futures Slip Ahead of Inflation Data and Nvidia Earnings
US futures are down ahead of key inflation and economic growth data releases, as well as quarterly earnings from Nvidia. The S&P 500 is currently pointing 0.1% lower before the opening bell.
The Federal Reserve's preferred measure of inflation has remained above 3% since early this year, which is uncomfortably high compared to the central bank's target.
Nvidia, a leading company in the artificial intelligence sector, will report its quarterly earnings after the market closes. The tech sector has been volatile due to growing concerns that AI technology won't generate sufficient profits for companies.
