The ongoing US-Iran standoff has pushed oil prices higher, fueling inflation concerns across Europe.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell for a seventh consecutive session, its longest losing streak since September 2023, closing at 650.35 points.

Energy stocks rose 0.9% as oil prices climbed, while travel and leisure shares dropped 0.7% due to fuel-cost concerns.

Germany's DAX index fell 0.42%, underperforming the region, while the UK's FTSE 100 inched up 0.04%.
