US Jobs Report: 23K Positions Lost in July, Unemployment Rate Dips
The latest employment report released on August 7, 2026, showed that nonfarm payroll employment shed 23,000 jobs in July. This decline was significantly lower than the projected addition of 85,000 jobs.
