The European session will be relatively quiet today, with only a few minor releases scheduled. The French trade balance and Swiss consumer confidence data are due out, but they are not expected to have any significant impact on monetary policy decisions in Europe. In contrast, the American session is set to bring some key economic indicators. The US Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report for July is expected to show 80K jobs added, with the unemployment rate remaining at 4.2%. Average hourly earnings are also forecasted to rise by 3.5% year-over-year. Canada's employment data will be released alongside the NFP, showing 20K jobs added in July and an unchanged unemployment rate of 6.5%. The Federal Reserve is keeping a close eye on inflation, making the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September a more critical indicator than today's jobs report. Fed speaker Julie Barkin will also take the stage at 14:00 GMT/10:00 ET to provide insight into the central bank's stance.
