US markets are off to a rocky start this week as investors await key economic updates and guidance from top Federal Reserve officials. The S&P 500 future fell 0.2%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures dropped 0.1%. Nasdaq futures plummeted 0.7%.

The Treasury market remains under pressure, with the 10-year yield rising to 4.73%, its highest point in over a year. The 30-year Treasury yield also surged, nearing its highest level since 2007. Higher yields can slow economic growth and put downward pressure on asset prices.

Oil prices are also down, with Brent crude falling 1.7% to $91.06 per barrel, while US benchmark crude dropped 2.2% to $85.18 per barrel. The uncertainty surrounding the Iran conflict continues to weigh on markets, with Iran's currency hitting a record low and its president defending a memorandum of understanding with the United States as the best way out of the stalled conflict.
