US Officials Accuse Chinese Hackers of Targeting Federal Agencies
US officials have accused Chinese state-sponsored hackers of targeting several federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, NASA, and the Federal Reserve. The hackers allegedly used two platforms, QScan and QTRouter, to access US networks and cover their tracks.
The compromise occurred between 2018 and the present day, according to an FBI agent's affidavit in support of domain seizures. The targeted networks include critical infrastructure, hospitals, power companies, financial institutions, and defense contractors.
Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that 'state-sponsored malicious hackers preying on America's critical infrastructure will be stopped and prosecuted.'
