US Shuts Down China-Linked Hacking Platforms Targeting Sensitive Networks

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI have taken down two hacking platforms allegedly used by a China state-sponsored group to target sensitive networks, including NASA, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. Senate.

The seized domains connected to QScan and QTRouter were built into the malware and used for communication and authentication, making both systems inoperable after the court-authorized seizure.

According to DOJ, the group identified as QTFY, which is employed by Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, sold hacking services to paying customers, including China's Ministry of State Security and the People's Liberation Army.
