US Stock Markets Rise as Euro Falters Against Dollar
The US stock markets closed the day on a positive note, with the Dow Jones index rising 0.98% to 52,573.29 points.
The S&P 500 index also saw gains, increasing by 0.86% to 7,656.98 points.
In contrast, the Nasdaq index led the pack with a notable gain of 0.96% to 26,333.04 points.
Across the Atlantic, European stock markets also showed signs of recovery, with the FTSE 100 index rising by 0.39% to 10,650.44 points.
The DAX and CAC-40 indices in Germany and France respectively saw gains of 0.82% and 0.78%.
However, one notable exception was the euro, which fell against the US dollar by 0.11% to $1.1599.
