US Stocks Rise as Iran Strikes Halt, Fed Meeting Looms
The US stock market futures have gained ground after investors reacted positively to news of a halt in strikes between the United States and Iran.
This improved risk sentiment has prompted a move towards riskier assets, with major US stock index futures up between 0.8% and 1.4% on the day.
The US Dollar (USD) Index, however, declined by more than 0.2%, trading near 101.20 at the time of writing.
Investors are preparing for a week filled with key economic and monetary policy developments, including the Federal Reserve's upcoming two-day policy meeting and its interest rate decision on Wednesday.
