US Stocks Soar on Earnings Boom and Reduced Rate Hike Fears
The US stock market defied economic uncertainty to record significant gains at the end of last week. The major indexes saw impressive weekly increases despite a drop in nonfarm payrolls, which fell by 23,000, contrary to economists' predictions of an 80,000 job increase.
The decrease in job numbers led to a reduction in rate hike expectations from the Federal Reserve, easing concerns over inflation and positively affecting the market. The situation was also influenced by signs of peace in the Iran conflict, which resulted in lower oil prices.
A record-breaking earnings season contributed to the market's momentum, with around 85.1% of S&P 500 companies exceeding analyst expectations. This pushed the Dow, S&P, and Nasdaq to impressive weekly gains.
