US Stocks Trade Cautiously Amid Inflation Fears and Rising Oil Prices
The US stock market is trading cautiously ahead of the Labor Day holiday, as strong jobs data reinforced expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike this month.
Dow Jones futures fell by 0.32% to trade near 53,270 during European hours on Monday, while S&P 500 futures held steady near 7,720 and Nasdaq 100 futures advanced by 0.31% to trade around 29,660.
The rise in inflationary risks comes amid a geopolitical escalation between the US and Iran over the weekend, which has led to rising crude oil prices.
