US Tourists' Shocking Lack of Currency Knowledge Causes Embarrassment in Rome
A group of American tourists caused embarrassment at a restaurant in Rome when they asked if they accepted US dollars after discovering the card system was down.
According to a video posted on Reddit, the tourists assumed that everywhere in the world would accept their currency and were surprised to learn otherwise.
'Do you take American cash?' one of them asked the staff, who replied that the restaurant only accepted euros.
The group's leader then told the staff they would start eating inside, but move outside in the middle of the meal, prompting the Reddit user filming the video to quip: 'That's rude, that's entitled.'
