US Treasury Unveils Unlimited Yen Support Amid Market Volatility
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessenet announced on August 10 that there may be no limits to the support provided to Japan in stabilizing the yen.
The comments come as the yen fell nearly 1% against the dollar, erasing half of the gains made after a joint intervention by the US and Japan on July 31.
The current exchange rate has dropped below 159, raising concerns about further intervention.
