A study by the European Central Bank found that employed people in Europe and the US continue to look for new jobs, but with different motivations.

In the US, workers are mainly driven by the pursuit of higher pay, while in Europe, they are more likely to search for a job out of fear of losing their current one.

The study found that 13% of employed people in Europe continue looking for another job, compared to 19% in the US.

In countries with large wage inequalities, such as the US, workers are more likely to seek higher pay and switch employers to climb the 'wage ladder'.
