USD/CAD Bounces Off Monthly Low Amid Inflation Concerns
The Canadian dollar has experienced a significant rebound in recent days, rising more than 1.5% from its monthly low and reaching a pivot zone where three time frames converge.
According to Michael Boutros, StoneX Media Senior Market Analyst, the weekly, daily, and four-hour structures of USD/CAD all point to this convergence as a critical juncture for the pair.
The rebound in USD/CAD is attributed to rising prices fueling concerns about inflationary outlooks, despite markets pricing roughly two-thirds odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike next month.
The Bank of Canada's upcoming rate decision and U.S. nonfarm payrolls data will be closely watched, with the latter carrying significant weight for Federal Reserve pricing after Jackson Hole.
