$USD Index Holds Firm as Traders Eye Jackson Hole Signals
The US dollar remained firm near an eight-day high following July's Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation report, which showed a 3.7% year-on-year increase.
This slight uptick in inflation has kept the odds of another Federal Reserve hike in play, with traders looking to Jackson Hole and fresh signals from the Bank of Japan for cues.
The dollar index rose 0.21% to 99.13, tracking the currency against a basket including the yen and euro.
