The US dollar weakened against several major currencies on Tuesday morning, particularly in Asia, where it fell below 155.00 against the Japanese yen for the first time since February.

The coordinated intervention by US and Japanese authorities at the end of July has shifted sentiment in the pair, causing a 1.2% drop in USD/JPY.

In other markets, the greenback was lower across most currencies, while the Aussie and Norwegian krone performed well due to higher oil prices.
