USDJPY Rises Again as Markets Await BoJ's Next Move

The USDJPY currency pair is rising again after a brief period of decline following joint intervention by Japan and the US at the end of July. The yen initially received some relief, but its gains have been fading as markets await further action from the Bank of Japan (BoJ).

Although the BoJ has begun normalizing monetary policy and raised interest rates, market expectations suggest that this may not be enough to stem the tide of yen weakness. Recent reports indicate that the BoJ could raise rates again at its September 17-18 meeting.

If the BoJ does indeed raise rates in September, it would provide much-needed support for the yen and potentially lead to a more sustained downtrend in USDJPY. However, if the central bank signals caution after the hike, pressure on the yen could return.
