Uzbekistan Announces Exchange Rate Updates for Major Currencies
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has announced the official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of August 7, 2026. The US dollar saw a significant increase, rising by 28.92 soums to 11,915.64 soums.
Meanwhile, the euro also surged, reaching 13,749.46 soums after gaining 32.19 soums. In contrast, the Russian ruble experienced a slight decline of 0.18 soums, falling to 146.19 soums.
The pound sterling and Swiss franc saw notable increases as well, rising by 27.03 soums and 32.09 soums respectively. The Japanese yen gained 0.13 soums, settling at 75.48 soums. Lastly, the Chinese yuan rose by 4.29 soums to 1,765.52 soums.
