Venezuela Government and 2015 National Assembly Delegation Conclude First Round of Talks
The Venezuelan government and the delegation of the 2015 National Assembly have concluded their first round of talks, aimed at addressing the aftermath of the June 24 double earthquake.
According to Jorge Rodríguez, coordinator for the Venezuelan government, two technical working groups were established: one focused on emergency care for those affected by the earthquake and another on strengthening democracy, the judiciary, and the electoral branch.
The parties agreed to work together on promoting the recovery of Venezuela's international reserve assets in the Bank of England, establishing mechanisms of transparency, traceability, and audit in their efficient use to guarantee the well-being of all those affected.
