Visser: Warsh's Hawkish Talk 'Showmanship', Bessent's Yield Suppression Key for Crypto

Wall Street veteran Jordi Visser thinks Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's recent hawkish comments at Jackson Hole were just 'showmanship' aimed at maintaining Fed credibility, rather than signaling a September rate hike.

Visser believes the actual policy driver was Scott Bessent's yield suppression campaign, which he linked directly to crypto. According to Visser, stablecoins would need to grow to $3 trillion for them to be major Treasury buyers.

The Wall Street veteran also disclosed that his portfolio has more Ethereum (ETH) than ever before, citing tokenization and stablecoin rails as key factors in bringing traditional hedge funds into the ecosystem trade. He also mentioned Solana's (SOL) performance as evidence of a fundamental-driven crypto rally rather than speculation.

Visser provided a hypothetical $100 trillion crypto market cap, which would put Bitcoin's price at $600,000 to $1 million, but did not give a firm target. 'I learned my lesson last year when I thought we'd be at $250,000 already and we're nowhere near that,' he said.
