Walmart Price Target Cut by Royal Bank of Canada
Royal Bank of Canada has cut its price target for Walmart (NASDAQ:WMT) from $137.00 to $131.00, citing a potential upside of 26.16% from the company's current price.
This move comes after Walmart reported adjusted earnings of $0.81 per share and revenue of $187.94 billion, exceeding consensus estimates of $0.74 and $186.62 billion respectively. The retailer's quarterly earnings report showed growth in its e-commerce sales, advertising revenue, and global membership revenue.
Walmart management has raised its full-year fiscal 2027 outlook and expects to use approximately $2.9 billion in tariff refunds to support price cuts, potentially strengthening the company's value proposition with financially pressured shoppers.
