Warsh Fades as Top Contender for Federal Reserve Chair
The Federal Reserve's expectations for former Goldman Sachs executive Kevin Warsh to be nominated as Fed Chair are low, according to CNBC's latest survey.
The survey found that only 15% of respondents expect the current Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to nominate Warsh, while 45% believe Mnuchin will choose another candidate.
Warsh has been considered a potential nominee due to his experience as a former member of the Federal Reserve Board and his background in finance.
