Warsh Speech Expected to Focus on Inflation Over Interest Rates
Investors will likely be disappointed if they're expecting clarity on interest rates from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's upcoming speech in Jackson Hole, according to Jack Manley, Global Market Strategist at JPMorgan Asset Management.
'I don't think this is a Fed chair that's made it abundantly clear basically every opportunity that he doesn't believe in that kind of forward guidance,' Manley said. 'If you're looking for that kind of information, you're holding your breath, I think you're going to be very sorely disappointed.'
Instead, Warsh is expected to focus on inflation as the key driver of Fed policy decisions and how to accurately measure it.
