US Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh expressed concern about high inflation in the US economy, stating that 'the numbers are more concerning'.

Speaking at the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium in Wyoming on August 28, 2026, Warsh hinted that interest rate hikes could be necessary to combat inflation.

The current inflation rate is 3.7%, surpassing the Fed's long-term target of 2% for over five years.

Warsh emphasized the importance of price stability and noted that he would be 'hard pressed' to describe current financial conditions as 'restrictive.'
