Warsh's No-Guidance Fed Sets Stage for Bitcoin Repricing

Traders positioning for a Federal Reserve decision on July 29th have seen Bitcoin fall by as much as 3% to $62,913 over the past 24 hours.

The US central bank's decision is significant because Chairman Kevin Warsh has rejected conventional forward guidance, instead responding to incoming data and fostering internal committee debate before meetings.

This break from tradition makes a 25-basis-point rate increase more likely, with Bank of America estimating that a July hike could push the amount of tightening priced for 2026 from roughly 45 basis points to around 60 basis points.

CryptoSlate data shows that social discussion around rate hikes has intensified ahead of Wednesday's decision, reflecting growing attention to an outcome that remains unusually difficult for traders to price.
